The Hazlitt Youth Theatre, now in its tenth year, is one of the most exciting and popular youth theatre companies in the South East. It boasts over 160 members aged between 6 and 18, and carries a huge list of past performances.
HYT Weekly Workshops
Weekly workshops give young people a chance to learn about all aspects of the theatrical world – improvisation, acting techniques, performing arts, mime, text work, singing, lighting, sound, design and much more – in a real live theatre setting!
Members get a chance to hone their skills by taking part in our many and varied productions programme – previous productions include Bat Boy, Confusions, The Witches, The Dreaming, Lost and Found, The Little Shop of Horrors – just to name a few. Trips are arranged to other local venues and to London, which often include a backstage tour or workshop.
HYT offers young people a great opportunity to get involved with the theatre. It also gives them a chance to meet new people, socialise, learn new skills and most importantly, have FUN!!!!
Workshops are held on Mondays, Tuesdays and Wednesdays evenings for a small termly fee. For further information on joining contact Martin Cleverley on 01622 686958 or e-mail him at firstname.lastname@example.org
